Women and girls deserve to lead full and productive lives through access to education
Soroptimist’s mission focuses on improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. We accomplish our mission by giving a variety of Soroptimist scholarships and education grants that fund vocational and educational goal.
The Live Your Dream Award assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.
This scholarship provides $1,000 per year for a 4 year college, which must be used within 5 years of graduating from Borrego Springs High School.
This scholarship provides $500 per year for up to 2 years of a community college or vocational program, which must be used within 3 years of graduating Borrego Springs High School.
This grant is for internships or educational outreach programs. It will cover proposed program or related expenses, up to $1,000.
This scholarship provides $1000 per year for up to 4 years of a 4 year college; or $500 per year for up to 2 years of community college or vocational school for Borrego Springs High School graduates who wish to continue their education.

The Live Your Dream Award is for women who are are head of households and pursuing their education aspirations. Opens August 2023.
Ruth Hoosier Memorial Scholarship. For Borrego Springs graduating seniors going on to a four-year college or university. Now open.
Our Community College & Vocational Scholarship is for Borrego Springs graduating seniors pursuing an education in a community or vocational school. Now open.
Our newest grant, the Yvonne Bierdon Daemke Grant, provides funds for internships or educational outreach programs for Borrego Springs High School students. Opens next year.
For Borrego Springs High School graduates who may have delayed college, but wish to pursue a higher education. Now open.
